My main goal in life is to fulfill my purpose on earth and help to fulfill other people's purposes, too. I want to make a little positive contribution and make the part of my world a more peaceful and loving place. I love music and it's the principal channel through which I carry out the above goals. I'm professionally and thoroughly prepared in several music areas: composition, orchestral/choral conducting, performance (classical guitar and organ), college teaching, and church music.

In my website, www.RafaelScarfullery.com, you can watch my music videos, listen to my CD's and buy them, see samples of my compositions, buy scores for downloading, download free scores, read about my music career, read my thoughts and other people's quotes that help us to become better human beings, and much more. If you'd like, send me your feedback. I'd love to hear from you!

Have an active life (Ten una vida activa)

"Those who cry more when dying are those who have never lived. They have been just observers of life, but not active participants. They have not taken any risks. Thus, they have remained on side of the road". E. Kubler-Ross

E. Kubler-Ross

Follow your Light (Sigue tu Luz)

This is a fragment of a poem by a dominican poet. I hope you enjoy it.

What are the applauses or the hatred of a moment to the conscience of an honest person? They are echoless and worthless rumors that get lost with the wind. Only the pilgrim's torch lasts with everlasting brightness, and you go towards truth, to a light that guides you.

Please, read these great quotes on being prepared:

"Success always comes when preparation meets opportunity”. Henry Hartman
“If your're not practicing, somebody else is, somewhere, and he'll be ready to take your job.” Brooks Robinson
“Luck is a crossroad where preparation and opportunity meet. Anonymous
“I have yet to be in a game where luck was involved. Well-prepared players make plays. I have yet to be in a game where the most prepared team didn't win.” Urban Meyer
“What we do upon some great occasion will probably depend on what we already are; and what we are will be the result of previous years of self-discipline.” H. P. Liddon

H. P. Liddon
